At this year's ASSETS conference (https://assets23.sigaccess.org/), Prof. Frauke Mörike and Jana-Sophie Effert discussed the future direction of accessibility research with many other researchers at the workshop "A11yFutures: Envisioning the Future of Accessibility Research" on October 17. At the workshop "Accessibility Research and Users with Multiple Disabilities or Complex Needs", Jana-Sophie Effert also presented in her presentation "Beyond the bare minimum: Opportunity Analysis for law-driven change in software development to cater for complex needs" ways of using the implementation of the „Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz“, the german implementation of the European Accessibility Act, as a starting point for further research into the practical implementation of accessible software.
