Scoping workshop on vocational rehabilitation research at Herrenhausen Castle/Hanover

From November 27 to 29, Prof'in Frauke Mörike and JProf'in Lena Hünefeld took part in the scoping workshop on the further development and establishment of vocational rehabilitation research in Hanover. The workshop was funded by the Volkswagen Foundation and organized and conducted by Prof'in Mathilde Niehaus and Dr'in Marie Heide from the University of Cologne, Prof'in Anita Tisch from the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences and the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA). Together with experts from various disciplines, key questions on the future of vocational rehabilitation were discussed. The focus was on challenges in the areas of content, methods, research and funding structures as well as the institutional anchoring of vocational rehabilitation science at universities and non-university research institutions. The results of the workshop were incorporated into a position paper, which outlines concrete perspectives and recommendations for the further development of the research field.
