During the four-day summer school, Jana-Sophie Effert exchanged ideas with scientists and practitioners from Europe on the opportunities, findings and obstacles of inclusive technology development.

From June 24-27, the first edition of the ACM European Summer School on Accessible & Inclusive Technologies took place at Birmingham City University (BCU). Jana-Sophie Effert had the opportunity to attend many inspiring presentations during the four days on site together with the other participants and to present her contribution "New Requirements Call for New Methods? Analysis of Accessibility in Human-Centered-Design Methods from a Rehabilitation Science Perspective". Overall, it was a colorful program that covered the entire spectrum of inclusive technology (design), from inclusive gaming to the design of city maps, the possibilities of haptic communication to barrier-free musical instruments and trustworthy AI.
