Doctoral project

Simple work is caught between precarious employment and high social relevance. To date, there is still little knowledge about starting points for improving occupational health and safety for this specific employment group. The doctoral project uses various data sets to shed light on the employment histories of employees in menial jobs, the working conditions found in menial jobs and the possible health consequences of menial work. In addition, the retirement into the statutory old-age pension of those in semi-skilled work is examined.

The doctorate is part of the BAuA research project "Work and health situation of employees in semi-skilled work" (AuGEE; F2518).
