Subproject D05 of the SFB 1567 “Virtual Living Environments,” which has received continued funding, examines how the digital transformation is changing work processes and virtual spaces for interaction—and what opportunities and risks this presents for the employment of people with disabilities.

Background and Objectives
Based on ethnographic data, D05 analyzes the interactions between technology, organization, and participation with the goal of rethinking informal practices—such as workarounds—as opportunities for inclusive innovation.
Practical Objective
Through practice-oriented research, the project aims to make an interdisciplinary contribution to the critical reflection on and inclusive design of virtual work environments.
